Euroopan unionin tuomioistuimen (EUT) asiassa C-663/18 antaman tuomion mukaan kansallinen lainsäädäntö ei voi kieltää sellaisten hampputuotteiden myyntiä, jotka ovat tuotettu EU-sertifioiduista hamppulajikkeista ja sisältävät pieniä määriä (alle 0,3%) THC:ta. Kaninkolo käy parhaillaan oikeustaistoa Suomessa asiaan liittyen tavoitteenaan saada viranomaiset ymmärtämään EU:n asetuksia.
